Regione Autonoma della Valle d’Aosta

The "Direzione Protezione Civile" is the planning and operational branch of the "Regione Valle d'Aosta" public administration in the civil protection and safety domain.
The main intervention fields are directly related to the mountain hazards, such as:
- search and rescue operations (SAR)
- hydrogeological hazard managing and mitigation
- managing of great accidents in road tunnels, in coordination with local fire departments and first aid units
